I sometimes stay up the whole night. It sucks and i have a hard time dealing with it. Occasionally I do it at parties so that everyone else has fun. But yeah, weed is way better .

Legalizing it goes way beyond your typical user being able to buy it legally. There are much better reasons why it should be, which is why I have seen many non-smokers mention it as well and if I started stating the reasons, I may never stop.

I never have and never will smoke pot. But not legalizing marijuana is beyond retarded. Cigarettes and alcohol kill 100000x as many people as marijuana ever could. And frankly, prescription drugs kill more people than illegal drugs.
All we are doing is putting money and power into the hands of dangerous drug dealers. This is EXACTLY what happened during the Prohibition Era when they outlawed alcohol. Not only did gangsters become extremely rich and powerful, but alcohol use actually increased.
All the facts prove that legalizing, regulating, and taxing marijuana just like cigarettes and alcohol would lead to less violence and lower rates of use.
The reason the US government doesnt legalize marijuana is because it makes too much money by keeping it illegal. Imprisoning marijuana users fuels the Prison-Industrial complex the US relies upon to compete with low factory wages in 3rd world nations. And we get to sell more guns to drug dealers.

one was a man in his 50s who had thyroid cancer and had lost a dangerous amount of weight during chemo, (they were going to stop the treatments because of it)
he had never smoked marijuana in his life, but his son-in-law talked him into it and he gained back enough weight to keep undergoing his chemo treatments
another was a friend of mine’s father, my friend was an RN at a local hospital and her father, a very conservative senior citizen, had eye surgery-he had numerous complications
my friend talked her father into eating marijuana, baked into stuff, and his eye problems resolved
the third was a young woman who was dying of cancer, and her best friend offered her some to smoke, and the young woman felt pain-free for the first time in many months, (she eventually succumbed to her cancer, but her husband was grateful that her last months of life were a lot easier for her to bear)
I work in the health care industry, and I have heard a lot of other stories, but these three involve people that I know very well and I have seen the results
